What to pay attention to during the transportation of cast iron pipes
Hoisting: Be careful when hoisting the pipe, do not let the pipe shake. The pipe can be hoisted with steel wire rope, lifting belt and special sling. The steel wire rope is not allowed to use a single one. To protect the outer anti-corrosion layer of the pipe, rubber leather or similar materials can be used Wrap the wire rope. When using hooks, in order to protect the cement lining from damage, the hooks should also be wrapped with rubber or similar materials, especially when lifting large-diameter pipes, do not fix the hooks on the strapping steel belt or The socket end of the pipe.
Transportation: When transporting the pipe by car, two or more pieces of wood should be placed on the car platform, and the pipe should be fixed with wedges after being placed on the wood. The part of the tube extending out of the vehicle body shall not exceed 1/4 of the tube length. When there are more than one layer of pipes, the direction of the pipes should be reversed on each layer, and cushion rubber pads or skids should be added between the two layers of pipes. Finally, use steel wire rope and cushion pad to fix it firmly. In the process of transportation, always check whether the pipe is in danger of falling, check whether the stop wedge is loose, and move slowly when encountering uneven roads or sharp turns.
Stacking: When stacking pipes, sleepers or pads should be placed under the pipes. The sockets of the pipes are staggered, and the wedges must be placed to prevent the pipes from rolling. It is not allowed to be stacked on swamps, uneven, slopes or heavily polluted places.
